The 2024 Players Championship continues on Saturday morning with the third round at TPC Sawgrass. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 3 on TV or online, including complete Players Championship Saturday TV coverage.
Previewing Round 3
Friday, we were all in Wyndham Clark’s world at TPC Sawgrass.
A second-straight 65 turned Clark’s 18-hole co-lead into a four-shot 36-hole lead at 14 under at the Players Championship Friday, becoming just the third pro to lead the event by that many strokes at the mid-way point in tournament history. Both Webb Simpson and Jason Day went on to convert their big 36-hole leads in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
However, the 2023 U.S. Open champion will have his hands full trying to tame the diabolical Stadium Course layout and holding off a star-studded leaderboard of chasers behind him. Xander Schauffele and 2023 WM Phoenix Open winner Nick Taylor follow behind in second at 10 under. Last week’s winner and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, despite a neck injury, is among a group at eight under, tied for sixth.
You can watch the second round of the Players Championship on TV via NBC beginning at 2 p.m. ET on Friday. ESPN+ will offer exclusive early coverage and featured group coverage online starting at 8:15 a.m. ET. In addition, Peacock will provide a live simulcast of NBC’s coverage.
