Previewing Round 2
With two eagles and a closing birdie at the 18th hole, Erik van Rooyen put together an impressive eight-under 63 on Thursday in Mexico. That left the South African pro, who already has two Tour wins to his name, with a slim one-shot lead heading into Round 2.
For Friday’s second round, van Rooyen will tee off at 9:03 a.m. ET alongside Emiliano Grillo and K.H. Lee. They’ll start their second rounds on the 10th tee.
