There’s a little bit of added pressure for Canadians this year on the PGA Tour with the Presidents Cup taking place in their home country this fall.
That would make 2024 the perfect time for 2022 Presidents Cupper Taylor Pendrith to get his first PGA Tour victory.
“I haven’t had the best of years so far, but it’s a huge goal of mine, especially being in Canada, Mike Weir being the captain,” Pendrith said Saturday night. “Two years ago was awesome. To get back to that stage would be amazing and even more special to be in my home country.”
He started Sunday at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in prime position to secure a spot on the International Team for Royal Montreal. He led by one over Jake Knapp to start the final round at TPC Craig Ranch.
While he’d course get valuable Presidents Cup International Team points, FedEx Cup points, World Ranking points, a two-year exemption to the PGA Tour and more, he’d also take home a solid chunk of money for his efforts.
To be exact, $1.71 million. Even if he finishes second, he’ll still take home seven figures.
With that, keep reading below for a complete list of the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson payouts for all 66 players who made the cut. The total purse is $9.5 million.
