A logjam of three players tied at the top on Thursday gave way to a single leader on Friday, as Collin Morikawa followed up a first-round 64 with a second-round 66 to sit at 16 under par — two shots clear of his closest competitors, Scottie Scheffler and J.J. Spaun, who are 14 under.

Morikawa has been bogey-free for 36 holes, and carded seven birdies on Friday, including three in a row on Nos. 3-5.
The 25-year-old is hoping to claim his sixth career PGA Tour title on Sunday, and will tee it up alongside Scheffler in the final pairing on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. ET.
