The opening round of the 2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans gets underway Thursday, April 21, in Louisiana. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing Zurich Classic Round 1

There are a lot of impressive teams in the field at this year’s Zurich Classic, but Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele might have the most going for them. The former is the reigning FedEx Cup champion and PGA Tour Player of the Year, the latter is the gold medalist from last year’s Tokyo Olympics.

And Cantlay and Schauffele are far from strangers. The pair teamed up at the 2021 Ryder Cup, going 2-0 in their matches together, and finished T11 at last year’s edition of the Zurich Classic, five shots behind winners Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman (who are also back in the Zurich field).

Cantlay and Schauffele will tee off at 1:44 p.m. ET on Thursday alongside the formidable team of World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Ryan Palmer. You can stream the entire opening round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, or watch the telecast on Golf Channel.
