The 2022 Valspar Championship begins Thursday, March 17, at Innisbrook Resort in Florida. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Valspar Championship preview
Viktor Hovland has quickly become one of the best players in golf. The 24-year-old Norwegian already has three PGA Tour wins in his young career, including one earlier this season at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, rising all the way to No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He’s currently on a streak of three-straight top-10 finishes, including a T9 at last week’s Players Championship.
Now Hovland sets his sights on the Valspar Championship and Innisbrook Resort’s difficult Copperhead course. He’ll get his tournament started on the 10th tee Thursday morning at 8:24 a.m. ET, and he’ll play the first two rounds alongside World No. 2 Collin Morikawa and Abraham Ancer.
They’ll be joined in the field by plenty of other big names, such as two-time major champion Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen and betting favorite Justin Thomas.
Extensive coverage of this year’s Valspar Championship will be provided by Golf Channel and NBC on TV, and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and Peacock online for those who prefer to stream the tournament.
