After winning a major in 2020 and adding another in 2021, Collin Morikawa was less than pleased with his performance on the course in 2022. But with a new season upon us, Moriakwa is looking to get back into the groove, and the Hero World Challenge may be just what he needed.

Morikawa went out on Thursday and fired a three-under 69 at Albany. That was good enough for a share of the lead with Tom Kim, Sepp Straka and Viktor Hovland.
Hovland happens to be the defending champion in the Bahamas, and he’ll look to claim a rare repeat victory this weekend.
Hovland and Morikawa will share a pairing on Friday, teeing off for the second round in the second-to-last group at 11:58 a.m. ET.
