On Friday at Austin Country Club, players will be battling to win their groups and advance to the single-elimination round of 16 on Saturday morning. Only one player from each group qualifies, and the competition is fierce.

The player in control of Group 1 is none other than World No. 1 Jon Rahm, and it looks like he has no plans of surrendering his top ranking this week. Rahm pushed his record to 2-0-0 on Thursday with a dominant 5 and 4 victory over Cameron Young. Rahm only needs to tie his third match to advance into the single-elimination rounds.
