This week will see the playing of the first World Golf Championship of the year, the 2021 WGC-Workday Championship. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Workday Championship Preview
With the early-season stints in Hawaii and California complete, the PGA Tour now heads across the country to begin the Florida swing. First up is the WGC-Workday, which is being contested in place of the WGC-Mexico due to Covid-19 concerns. This year’s tournament will be held at The Concession Golf Club in the Sunshine State.
As at all WGC events, the field at the Workday is limited in its size, but the quality of the field is hard to compete with. World No. 3 Justin Thomas will be there, where he’ll try to recover from a missed cut at last week’s Genesis Invitational. The two golfers ahead of Thomas in the Official World Golf Ranking, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm, will tee it up at the Worday as well.
Other star players who will fight for the title alongside the three top-ranked golfers include Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa and more.
