Previewing U.S. Open Sunday
Saturday at Torrey Pines proved the moniker “Moving Day” true, with several players rocketing up the leaderboard into contention, and others falling back into the pack of long shots. With 18 holes to play, Louis Oosthuizen, Russell Henley and Mackenzie Hughes are locked in a three-way tie for the lead at five under.
For Sunday’s final round, Oosthuizen, who sank an eagle on the 18th green to earn a share, will tee off with Hughes in the final pairing at 3:55 p.m. ET.
Two former U.S. Open champions are the nearest challengers: Rory McIlroy and defending champ Bryson DeChambeau, who are tied at three under through 54 holes. McIlroy will play alongside Henley on Sunday, beginning at 3:44 p.m. ET, while DeChambeau will start his round 11 minutes earlier.
