Once the opening round is over, players will return to TPC Sawgrass on Friday for Round 2 of the 2021 Players Championship. You can find full second round tee times at the bottom of this post.
Notable groupings for Players Championship Round 2
Is this the week Jordan Spieth finally becomes a PGA Tour winner once again? The popular Tour star has been stuck on 11 wins since the 2017 Open Championship, where he won his third major title. Struggles followed, but Spieth has turned his game around in a big way recently, finishing in the top 15 in his last four events.
Spieth teed off late on Thursday, so for Friday’s second round he will switch to a morning starting time at 7:29 a.m. ET. He’ll begin on the 10th tee for Round 2, and he’ll play alongside Patrick Reed and World No. 2 Jon Rahm.
Other notable groupings for the second round include Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa and Dustin Johnson (7:40 a.m. ET); Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia and Webb Simpson (1 p.m. ET); Justin Thomas, Viktor Hovland, and Patrick Cantlay (12:49 p.m. ET); and Phil Mickelson, Charles Howell III and Tony Finau (12:27 p.m. ET).
