The PGA Tour’s Florida Swing continues this week with the 2021 Honda Classic at treacherous PGA National. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.

Honda Classic preview

At this week’s Honda Classic, players will have to contend with the difficult Jack Nicklaus-redesigned Champion course at PGA National, including the fearsome stretch of 15,16 and 17 known as the Bear Trap. Experience will be the name of the game, and three star players in the field have plenty of that.

Fifty-year-old Phil Mickelson, who now splits time between the PGA and Champions Tour, will tee it up on the younger circuit for the second-straight week. Mickelson made the cut at the Players Championship, finishing T35 on Sunday. His last win was over two years ago, so perhaps this is the week he breaks through once again.

Another aging veteran in the field, 47-year-old Lee Westwood, is suddenly playing like his younger self. With back-to-back solo second-place finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players heading into the week, Westwood is probably a stronger bet than Mickelson to take home the trophy come Sunday.

But both players will have to get by a much younger player who nevertheless has the exact kind of experience necessary: Sungjae Im. The 2019 PGA Tour Rooke of the Year captured his first victory at last year’s Honda Classic, so he’ll try to use what he learned a year ago to repeat.
