After three days of Tiger Mania, we’ve reached the final round of play at the 2021 Hero World Challenge at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. Below, find everything you need to know about tournament money, including payout information and winner’s share.
Hero World Challenge final round preview
Tiger Woods has found himself in the center of attention this week (naturally), but in fact, it’s Collin Morikawa who sits on the cusp of history. The 24-year-old sits just 18 holes removed from becoming the fourth-youngest player in golf history to reach World No. 1. Morikawa enters Sunday’s final round at the Hero at 18 under and leading by a whopping five strokes — hoping to close out a brush with history with one of the greatest players ever watching from close proximity.
Behind Morikawa sit a host of big names (at the Hero — a limited-field event that grants entry only to the game’s top players — they all are) led by Brooks Koepka (-13) and Patrick Reed (-12). Nothing is quite out of consideration for the pair of former major winners, but chasing down Morikawa would seem to prove difficult, given his track record at protecting late leads.
Below, find complete payout information, including winner’s share, for the Hero World Challenge’s $3.5 million purse; you can catch the action all afternoon Sunday on NBC.
