With the first major of the year in the rearview, the PGA Tour heads to Sedgefield Country Club in North Carolina this week for the 2020 Wyndham Championship. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the event.

Wyndham Championship preview

The Wyndham Championship is not only the first PGA Tour event since the PGA Championship, but it’s also the final regular-season event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

PGA champion Collin Morikawa is sitting out this week, but one of his primary challengers on Sunday at TPC Harding Park is in the field. Three-time Tour winner Paul Casey has had a career renaissance of late, exemplified by his performance at the PGA. The Tour veteran’s 11 under left him two short of the win, but was good enough for a T2 finish, the best major result of his career.

Casey will hope to capture his first win of the year at the Wyndham, but to do so he’ll have to get past defending champion J.T. Poston. Poston is currently 58th in the FedEx Cup rankings, so he’ll need a good performance to improve his standing and qualify for all of the Playoff events.

The Wyndham field also features three major winners who currently reside in the Top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking, Webb Simpson, Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka. Koepka will look to recover from his disappointing final round at the PGA.
