The event golf fans have been waiting for for more than a year and a half is finally here: the 2020 Masters at Augusta National. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the event.
Masters preview
This year’s edition of the Masters will be historic for several reasons. First, the tournament is being contested in November, and it will be played without fans in attendance as the Covid-19 pandemic forced tournament organizers to change plans. These two realities will give the event a new look and feel.
As for on-course history, this week’s event has plenty of potential to offer. Tiger Woods remains the defending champion, and he will not surrender his claim to another green jacket easily. His play has been inconsistent in this abridged season, but if he puts all the pieces together we could witness Tiger hunting down his record-tying sixth Masters title come Sunday.

And don’t forget about Bryson DeChambeau. The newly-minted U.S. Open champion dominated at Winged Foot to earn his first major title, and he’s not done yet. DeChambeau and his monstrous drives have been the talk of the game all year, and his major triumph only ratcheted up the hype. Everyone is excited to see how DeChambeau’s new power game will translate on the fairways and greens at Augusta this week.
If that’s not enough to get you excited, remember that World No. 1 Dustin Johnson will also be in the field trying to finally push his major total to two. Rory McIlroy is back and eager to complete the career Grand Slam with his first Masters victory. And Phil Mickelson, fresh off two Champions Tour wins, is hoping to add one last triumphant exclamation point to his storied career.

How to watch the Masters on TV
TV coverage for the 2020 Masters will be split between ESPN and CBS. ESPN will air the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday before CBS takes control for the third and final rounds. TV coverage will be more limited than it is at other majors, but there are plenty of online streaming options to keep you satisfied that you can learn about below.
