2019 Memorial Tee Times: Tiger Woods paired with Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose

Tiger Woods will be on familiar turf and in good company as he returns to play at this week’s Memorial Tournament. The tournament announced some select groups on Monday, including the threesome of Woods, defending champion Bryson DeChambeau and world No. 3 Justin Rose.

DeChambeau, who frequently joins Woods for practice rounds, won the 2018 edition in a dramatic playoff over Kyle Stanley and Ben An and the event remains arguably the biggest win of his young career. Rose has had plenty of success at Muirfield Village, including a win in 2010, his first as a pro.

Woods has won the Memorial five times, including a three-peat from 1999-2001. He faded on the weekend last year and finished T23.

In addition to the Woods-Rose-DeChambeau trio, the PGA Tour released three other marquee pairings:

Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler

Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy

Jason Day, Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama

The latter two groups are particularly full of intrigue. The Day-Scott-Matsuyama threesome puts three Presidents Cup teammates in close proximity. Thomas is coming off an injury, Spieth is showing serious signs of a resurgence, and McIlroy has been rock-solid all season.

Complete groups and tee times are expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon and will be available on GOLF.com.
