Masters money: The 20 highest-earners in Masters history

Money probably isn’t the first thing on your mind when you tune into the Masters every April. The cash seems like the least exciting part of winning, falling behind the green jacket, honorary membership, the Champions Dinner, automatic invitations for the rest of your career and, oh, all of your childhood dreams coming true.

But they aren’t exactly giving out chump change over at Augusta National. Tiger Woods is climbing toward $10 million in career earnings at the Masters alone. And it probably won’t surprise you to learn that Woods and Phil Mickelson top the earning charts at the Masters, but some of the names might.

Through only eight appearances, Jordan Spieth is already in third, edging out Dustin Johnson. Spieth is tied with Patrick Reed for the least amount of starts to make the top-20 earners, while Reed falls in at the 12th spot.

There are also several top-20 earners who have never actually won the Masters. Justin Rose has made the fifth-most money ever at Augusta, despite having never won. This list also includes Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els, Rickie Fowler and Jason Day.
