Not-so-breaking news: TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course is expensive. A round at the host venue of the Players Championship increased even more in 2022, and its peak rate remains the most expensive public tee time in golf.

And you know what? It can get even more pricey.

Rates for the Stadium Course are as low as $400 (offseason) or as high as $840 (peak season), the latter a $120 increase from the highest possible price for a single round a year earlier.

But if you have even more money to burn, consider the ultimate package — the Tour Player Experience. This offering runs $1,700 and comes with breakfast, lunch, a walking caddie, spot in the Tour/member locker room with a personalized nameplate, money clip, caddie bib and tons of other personalized swag. It’s Sawgrass’ way of offering Average Joes the opportunity to explore the grounds and play the course as pros would, complete with behind-the-scenes access usually off limits to the public.

Oh, and there’s more.

There’s an option to include two nights at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa and a round at the Dye’s Valley — the other course at Sawgrass — by upgrading the price to $2,655 a person (price fluctuates based on season and hotel occupancy).

At least when ponying up for the Tour Player Experience, $50 in lost golf balls won’t sting quite so badly.
