Several big names are making the trip to Detroit this week for the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, and according to the Rocket Mortgage Classic betting odds via BetMGM, World No. 4 Patrick Cantlay is the outright favorite. Here’s what you need to know.

2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic odds: This week’s favorites

Despite his big win last week at the 3M Open, the third victory of his career, Tony Finau is not the oddsmakers choice to win the Rocket Mortgage, but he comes close. Finau is currently installed as the second favorite at +1400. But Cantlay (+1000) tops Finau for good reason.

It was just last fall that Cantlay was awarded 2021 Player of the Year honors. And though he hasn’t recorded an individual victory this year — he won the Zurich Classic team title with Xander Schauffele — he’s accumulated two runner-ups, a T3 finish at the Memorial and nine top 10s. His last two starts? T4 at the Scottish Open and T8 at the Open Championship.

But don’t sleep on rising star Will Zalatoris, who is tied with Finau at +1400, Cameron Young (+1800), who nearly pulled off a breakthrough major victory at the Open at St. Andrews, or defending champion Cam Davis (+3300).

2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic odds: Long shot of the week

For this week’s long shot, we’re going with fan favorite Rickie Fowler. After winning five times on Tour from 2012-2019, Fowler has struggled mightily to stay afloat in the pro ranks. But Rickie’s game seems to finally be coming around.

He has one T3 finish on the season, which came at the CJ Cup in October, and has made 12 of 19 cuts, including seven of his last eight. Last week at the 3M Open, Fowler shot a final-round 70 to finish T38.

If he pulled it off, it would no doubt be a popular win among golf fans, but his odds are long. At +10000, if you bet $100 on Rickie to win and he succeeded, you’d earn a cool $10,000.
