Collin Morikawa won the Workday Charity Open at Muirfield Village Golf Club on Sunday after a three-hole, sudden-death playoff against Justin Thomas. The 23-year-old Morikawa now has two PGA Tour victories, which means he has more wins than he does missed cuts (1).
Coming into this week, Morikawa switched from a 19-degree TaylorMade SIM Max 5 wood into a 19-degree SIM Max Rescue club; it’s actually one-of-two rescue clubs he has in his rotation.
“He’s got two different Max rescues,” according to a TaylorMade representative. “He loves his rescues and swaps them around based on the flight he needs. He’s got one that goes 245 high and one that goes 245 carry coming in slightly flatter.”
