One look at the aggressive heel shaping on Wilson’s new Staff Model Tour Grind wedge lets you know who played a role in its development.

The heavy relief is designed with major winners like Gary Woodland and Padraig Harrington in mind — technical players who have a good handle on their short game and usually play on courses with firm conditions. The extra sole relief also makes it easier to navigate shots from the tightest of lies.

Each head is made from soft-forged 8620 carbon steel with machine-engraved “advanced spin” score lines on the precision milled face for consistent contact and enhanced bite around the green.

“The new Staff Model Tour Grind Wedges offer consumers the chance to play a wedge inspired by the custom grinds made uniquely for Tour players such as Gary Woodland and Padraig Harrington on Tour,” said Jon Pergande, Wilson’s global manager of innovation. “With a clean design and precision milled club faces, these Tour Grind wedges will provide all golfers with more control of their shot-making capabilities and are a perfect complement to our existing Staff Model line of wedges.”

With additional mass positioned in the upper toe on the back of the head, golfers should expect a more controlled flight when attacking the pin.

Wilson’s Staff Model Tour Grind retails for $130 and is available in three loft options (56, 58 and 60 degrees) with True Temper’s Dynamic Gold 120 steel shaft.
