One of Vokey’s most popular wedge grinds will soon be available in an all-important loft that wasn’t part of the initial loft offerings — 54M. For those unfamiliar with the M grind, it’s geared for those with a shallow attack angle who rotate the face open and closed on different shots to get the most out of their wedge around the green.
The M also happens to be one of Vokey’s original tour grinds and is considered the master craftsman’s “most favorite.” In other words, the M isn’t just any grind in Vokey’s eyes. It’s at the top of the grind food chain.
“The M grind is a medium bounce wedge that features a heel, toe and trailing edge sole grind and is for players who want a sand wedge to play in medium to firm soil conditions or firmer bunkers,” said Vokey. “It is also ideal for the golfer with a shallower, neutral, or more sweeping delivery who likes to play shots around the greens with the face in a variety of orientations or positions.”
With heel, toe and trailing edge relief, the WedgeWorks M Grind delivers plenty of versatility in numerous lofts (56, 58, 60 and 62 degrees), including the limited-edition 54M that expands the loft offerings into the gap wedge — something golfers have been clamoring for since the initial release.
The WedgeWorks 54M comes in a raw finish (right-hand only) and retails for $225. Through the WedgeWorks program, golfers can also select from six toe engravings, as well as stamping options (10 characters straight or freestyle; 15 characters around the toe and two lines of 10 characters each).

Parker McLachlin’s “Flight Lines” can also be added to the wedge for those who need a reliable visual aid. An array of shafts, grips, shaft bands and ferrules round out the list of custom options for Vokey’s latest limited-edition wedge.
