TaylorMade surprises golfers with limited-edition iron set available now

RAW p7MC Taylormade irons

With the success of their raw-faced wedges, TaylorMade decided to drop a limited edition set of one of its most popular forged irons.

This is normally the time of year when equipment companies start gearing up for 2023 releases, but in a classic switcheroo, TaylorMade just launched a current iron but with a new twist — the forged P7MC irons in an unplated Raw finish.

But with the success of their raw-faced wedges, including the Milled Grind 3 and the new HiToe3 series, perhaps it should be no surprise that the crew over at TaylorMade decided to drop a limited-edition set of one of their most popular irons.

Embrace the rust

Rust is one of the most highly debated topics for gear aficionados — some people enjoy the glare-resistant patina that develops on unplated clubs, while others can’t stand a hint of rust and prefer the clean look of chrome.

The unique grind on each sole was designed by the artful hands of Tiger Woods. The 56° wedge is a dual sole with heavy heel relief, while the 60° has an extremely high bounce on the leading edge with a shaved heel.

Some golfers even go as far as sending their clubs off to custom shops to get the chrome stripped from their irons and wedges, but with this new release, TaylorMade is letting those looking at a set of P7MC skip that step and put them right into the bag.

These irons are available now (4-PW only, no partial sets) for $1,399 on TaylorMade’s website.
