Celebrate peace and love with Nike’s groovy new golf shoe collection

Inspired by the San Francisco-based 1960's hippie movement, Nike added a tie-dye twist to some of their most notable silhouettes.

Nike’s latest shoe drop is totally far out.

Inspired by the 1960’s hippie movement, which took place largely in San Francisco, California — the home of this week’s PGA Championship — Nike added a tie-dye twist to some of their most notable silhouettes.

You might remember spotting the Nike Roshe G Tour’s on Matthew Wolff a few months back. He caught a lot of attention for them when he teed it up at TaylorMade’s Driving Relief charity match, which occurred during the week of what would have been the PGA Championship in a non-Covid-19 world. They definitely remain the most eye-catching of the bunch, but Nike didn’t hold back when designing this collection of free-spirited kicks.

They designed five different tie dye golf shoes including their traditional Air Zoom Victory Tour, their street-inspired Air Max 97 G, and their Jordan V Low G. Catch your favorite Tour players — Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Brooks Koepka and others — rocking these kicks throughout the week.

At this point, the tie-dye trend has fully infiltrated the golf space, and I don’t think it’s going anywhere — even after the Tour departs from Harding Park. Scroll down to pick up your favorite(s) today. And hurry!! I don’t think these will last long.

Nike Air Max 97 G NRG

These shoes combine the ripple-effect design made famous by the original Air Max 97 with the integrated traction and plush comfort expected on the golf course. Vibrant details, like the tie-dye accents, “peace” and “love” printed outsoles and groovy logos celebrate the sense of culture, community and social revolution that San Francisco has been known for since the 1960’s hippie movement.

These kicks are just flat out cool. They merge the iconic Jordan silhouette with the psychedelic hippie-inspired theme while still providing the support and stability expected from a high quality golf shoe. They also feature a removable Jordan baller ball marker in place of the traditional lace lock.
