No matter how comfortable your golf shoes are, when the final putt drops, you’ll want to swap out your spikes for something more casual.

Long gone (at most golf courses, at least) are the days of changing into dress shoes and a jacket to indulge in post-round frivolities, and that starts with making sure your feet can rest and recover from a long day out on the course.

Adidas Samba

Why we like them: We’ll start this list off with one of the best-selling shoes of all time. The Samba Classics feature an extra long tongue which allows you to tie these shoes once and pretty much never have to worry about them again. Let’s also not forget about that classic three stripes styling. If you’re looking for a shoe that will slide on easily after a long day on the course but still look good, look no further.

Allbirds Wool/Tree Runners

Why we like them: Allbirds just launched their first golf shoe, and if you like the Golf Dasher, you’d love to go seamlessly to the OG Allbird, the Runner. You can get these shoes in either wool or eucalyptus (tree) material. Both materials also have that Allbirds wool insoles, which help create that signature Allbirds comfort, with or without socks. If you’re looking for a slip-on style, check out their Lounger in either the wool or “tree” options. These are a favorite among many GOLF staffers.

Asics Gel-Kayano 29

Why we like them: These shoes from running shoe king Asics clock in at just over 10 ounces, meaning your legs won’t have any added stress after wearing your golf shoes all day. The Gel-Kayano 29 also has a stability feature which can help keep your feet from rolling inward, which is common when you start getting tired.

Footjoy Hyperflex TR

Why we like them: Maybe you really just love your golf shoes so much you basically want to wear them all the time. While we wouldn’t recommend that, Footjoy has a solution with its HyperFlex TR shoe, modeled after its popular golf shoe family. This is designed as a workout shoe with performance mesh, making them lightweight and breathable.

Hoka Clifton 9

Why we like them: Another favorite among GOLF staffers are Hokas. The French company has been around since 2009 and has a wide array of different options and even a quiz to help you find the right ones. Hokas are known for their standout support. Video Editor Connor Federico said when he puts his Hokas on after playing 18 holes, he feels instant relief from any foot pain he had.

Nike Free Run

Why we like them: We know you still have a pair of Nike TW ’13 golf shoes lying around, or maybe you just picked up a pair when the Swoosh re-released them earlier this year. Either way, we’re not judging, but we can suggest pairing them with the running shoe they’re based on: the Nike Free Run. The signature of these running shoes are the laser-cut groves which provide superior flexibility, giving you a barefoot feel.

On Cloud 5

Why we like them: On’s Cloud 5 shoe has some of the softest cushioning on our list. But perhaps the biggest sell is their speed lacing system which allows you to rock your shoes without even tying a knot. These will be on your feet quicker than you can throw the clubs in the car.

The shoe also walks the line nicely between being soft and responsive, offering a good level of support for tired feet.
