Our take: If you’re wondering why TaylorMade’s Spider X putters have been red hot on Tour over the last few years (to say nothing of the marketplace), one of GOLF’s testers may have cleared it up: “These are like putting with the autopilot switch on!” With heads jam-packed with forgiveness and alignment features, Taylor-Made’s color-contrasted Spider X mallets easily deliver on their promise of stability and foolproof aiming.

The details: As the Spider putters continue seeing industry-wide success, TaylorMade keeps upping the ante by adding different looks, head shapes and performance benefits to make putting easier. The new Spider X putters for 2021 feature a segmented fluted shaft that allows golfers to better feel the head throughout the stroke. They also now come in a Hydroblast finish and are offered with two new hosels — a single-bend and a flow neck — for golfers who want to prioritize feel.

Where to buy it: Click here. Or better yet, get fit for the putter by the experts at our sister company, True Spec Golf.
