TaylorMade Spider SR

Our take: The 2021 Spider lineup boasts some unconventional head designs. This one’s a bit more traditional. “The SR has more of a classic look that I’m used to,” one tester said. As with the other new Spiders, testers praised the easy-to-align contrasting colors, soft feel and forgiveness.

TaylorMade Spider SR Putter

The 2021 Spider lineup boasts some unconventional head designs. This one’s a bit more traditional. “The SR has more of a classic look that I’m used to,” one tester said. As with the other new Spiders, testers praised the easy-to-align contrasting colors, soft feel and forgiveness.

The details: TaylorMade’s new Tour-style Spider S heads, which feature a two-pronged rear design, are built for forgiveness with unique shapes and weight structures. The putters also feature the company’s Fluted Feel shafts. Essentially, the shafts are broken into two sections: The top two-thirds have a round shape while the lower third is fluted. The design is meant to help you maintain a feel for the putterhead without losing stability in your hands.
