FIRST LOOK: Bettinardi’s military-inspired 2019 BB8-Wide Armageddon putter

Bettinardi's limited-edition BB-8 Wide Armageddon putter.

Bettinardi’s limited-edition Armageddon putter is one of the manufacturer’s most popular releases each year. For 2019, founder Robert J. Bettinardi created a military-inspired BB8-Wide Armageddon “in honor of those who have served.”

The 355-gram head is precision milled from soft carbon steel and features a full tactical F.I.T. face over a Honeycomb milling for an even softer feel at impact. Military insignia used in the Army can be found on the neck, bumpers and sole, along with a new “Sniper Grey” finish that reduces glare when the putter is in the address position.

The putter is hand-painted in a navy, grey and white color scheme and comes outfitted with a red Lamkin Deep Etched Cord grip and matching Made in USA headcover.

Bettinardi’s BB8-Wide Armageddon putter retails for $550; only 250 were made for the release. A portion of the proceeds from the Armageddon sale will be donated to The Veteran Golfers Association, which is “dedicated to enriching the lives of Veterans and their family members through sportsmanship and camaraderie of golf.”
