New Cobra King F6 Baffler Fairway and King Utility Iron

March 29, 2016

The new Cobra King F6 Baffler fairway wood ($240) is built with a rail system in the sole, similar to the original Cobra woods from 40 years ago.

The rails improve the way the club goes through the turf in a variety of conditions, increasing both versatility and overall distance and is expected to be in Rickie Fowler’s bag at the Masters.

To further improve performance two interchangeable sole weights (15g and 3g) can be manipulated to create either a forward CG position for a more penetrating trajectory or a rear location for higher shots and softer landings. Other features include an adjustable hosel that provides eight loft options (16 O, 16.5 O, 16.5 O draw, 17.5 O, 17.5 O draw, 18.5 O, 18.5 O draw and 19O), a thin, high strength steel face, and a slightly shorter length (41.75”) to make it easier to swing.

To go along with the new Baffler, Cobra is also introducing the King Utility 3 iron ($199 steel, $219 graphite). Featuring a hollow body construction for wood-like launch and distance, the King Utility is also built with a thin, cup face for faster ball speed and distance and a 67g tungsten weight in the low and deep portion of the clubhead for a high MOI and improved forgiveness. Adjustable hosel technology allows players to alter loft from 21 O to 18 O, making the King Utility even more versatile.

Both the King F6 Baffler 4/5 wood and the King Utility 3 iron will be available on May 1.
