PRICE: $130
WE TESTED: 50°/7°, 52°/9°, 54°/8°, 54°/12°, 56°/10°, 56°/14°, 58°/8°, 58°/12°, 60°/6°, 60°/10° with True Temper Dynamic Gold wedge-flex steel shafts
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: Available in two finishes: “Blue Ion” and “White Satin.”

LOOK: Sapphire blue finish is superb; big face and defined leading edge give an ideal vibe of forgiveness and flexibility.
FEEL: Rivals the best of them; responsive and soft at any speed; head-heavy weighting gives you the confidence to make an aggressive move.
DISTANCE CONTROL: An extension of your arms — makes it easy to calibrate distance with trajectory rather than spin; as consistent and predictable as any wedge — helps misses without muddling up good ones.
PLAYABILITY: Easy to flop, pinch, bump or thump; plain fun in the sand and better than most from tight lies; simple, subtle grind works from every lie.

Not everyone loves the blue finish, which wears quickly along the sole; spin is decent but doesn’t get the ball humming.

BOTTOM LINE: The top wedge in our test. It’s one-stop shopping for anyone who wants to amp up his short game.
