Miura Golf has made its mark in the world of golf equipment by producing some of the most visually stunning and best-feeling forged irons in the world thanks to its proprietary forging and manufacturing process. Now for the first time in their history, they are bringing the classic Miura feel to more golfers with the introduction of the IC-602 hollow-body iron.
The new IC-602 brings together Miura’s desire to create stunning irons that provide valuable feedback with modern manufacturing techniques to offer more golfers the ability to experience Miura irons while delivering confidence into their iron game. Also, with the help of stronger lofts matched with a thinner and more flexible face construction, the IC-602s will help to deliver more ball speed, resulting in more distance.
IC-602 Technology
The body of the IC-602 is comprised of a soft 8620 mild carbon steel to allow for easy lie and loft adjustability. Then, within the body structure, tungsten is used to precisely position the center of gravity behind the center of the club face and to boost MOI. A fast and strong Cr-Mo steel is used for the faces of the 3-9-irons while a softer S35C steel is used in the pitching wedge and gap wedge.
Another key element of the IC-602 design is the Miura Versatile Sole (MVS) which helps to create more efficient turf interaction. By reducing the sole width yet maintaining the relationship between the sole width and the bounce angle, golfers can feel confident to hit any shot from any lie, without the fear that the iron will grab into the ground.
