In case you missed it, TaylorMade and the PGA Tour Superstore released this really adorable Father’s Day commercial of Dash and his dad, Jason Day, doing what they love best on Sundays.
Dash Day narrates video of Jason and Dash playing golf at home and on the range, ‘like most Sundays.’
“But since it’s Father’s Day,” the commercial concludes, “I let him win.” Cuteness overload!
Earlier this week, Jason spoke about Dash learning to read his lines for the commercial. Well, he started out talking about the ad:
“So (Dash) went down to, in Columbus, they went down to a studio. He had headphones on and Ellie was helping him out with his lines. I mean, the lines, he’s only 3, so — and people forget he’s 3. He’s a humongous toddler. He’s very big. And you should see Lucy, she’s even bigger. She’s a fatty. It’s fine. Like Ellie, I think she has protein shakes in those things. I don’t know what she’s doing. But for some reason, she’s a very, very big baby. I don’t know how other people have real tiny babies.”
Father’s Day traditionally falls on U.S. Open Sunday, and this year is no exception. So if Day is near the top of the leaderboard come round four, look for young Dash to stage a re-creation of the commercial by running across the 18th green to his dad.
A U.S. Open trophy: Wouldn’t that be some Father’s Day gift?
