Our take: Oversized version includes a larger profile and taller faces. A through-slot in the sole and mass efficient beam across the cavity enhances speed and mitigates unwanted vibrations. A chambered sole geometry drives the CG lower for a towering launch.
ClubTester’s take (10-hdcp): “Aesthetics are a bit loud for my liking, but you can’t nitpick the stellar performance.”
Robot’s take: If you’re looking for a highly accurate game improvement model, start here.

TaylorMade SIM Max OS

A wide sole geometry, lightweight fluted hosel, 360 degree undercut and ultra-thin face shift mass from high in the clubhead down into the sole of the club for a low and back CG resulting in high, penetrating ball flights. The SIM Max OS was built to deliver proven distance and power. The Thru-Slot Speed Pocket completely disconnects the lower portion of the face from the sole of the iron and allows for a free-floating face. When combined with Speed Bridge, the face maintains stability while delivering maximum ball speed. The oversized construction creates a larger sweet spot and more forgiveness across the entire face.
