Price: $1,000 | $125
Set: 4-GW
Our take: These beauties are made from Chromoly 4140M and feature cup faces to increase ball speed, but with less offset, thinner toplines and soles. More compact short irons compared to the standard model.
ClubTester’s take (13-hdcp): “Feels and looks forgiving, but not overly large to where it’s clunky.”
Robot’s take: Impressive ball speed.
Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metal Pro IRON
A smaller ‘Pro’ version with reduced offset will offer Chromoly ball speed and performance to players who prefer a more traditional looking iron. The use of a high strength Chromoly 4140M and seamless cup face construction produces the highest ball speed from any Mizuno iron. The new stability frame ensures that each iron has the correct landing angles steep enough to control shots into the green.
