You might assume that hybrids are for higher handicappers and driving irons are built for better players, but is that really the case? We’ve seen better players choose hybrids for their added versatility and also for more forgiveness from difficult lies. At the same time, we’ve seen higher handicappers opt for driving irons because of how they look and feel.
Fact is, both hybrids and driving irons can help any type of player. It comes down to personal preference, swing type and, ultimately, what style you’re more confident with.
