GOLF’s Playing Editor, Bryson DeChambeau, seems to have gained more distance every time we see him. It wasn’t long ago that we were impressed when he touched driver ball speeds over 190 mph. Now he’s easily cruising over 200 mph ball speed — with aims of getting even higher.
In his most recent video on YouTube (you can subscribe to his channel right here), the 2020 U.S. Open champ gave us a little peak behind the curtain on his current progress.
Watch the full video below, or scroll past to see all his numbers. Aside from the numbers themselves, what was perhaps the most impressive part of this video was his ability to predict the ball speed for each of his clubs, to within a couple miles per hour.
“People can say all this stuff, but all it has been is a lot of consistent hard work to get to this point, over the course of hours, days, weeks, years to this point,” he says. “If you put your mind to it, practice every day, super diligent, super dedicated, you can get to these numbers too.”
