As an Arizona transplant, I admit I’m a full-fledged fair-weather golfer. Once the temperature drops below 50 degrees, I find it hard to muster the energy to be outside for any length of time — especially multiple hours on the golf course.

But a recent trip to Pinehurst — where the temps dipped below 40 degrees in the morning! — for GOLF’s Top 100 Teacher Summit helped me realize that I am capable of playing in the cold — all you have to do is dress for it.
