Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.
Renwick is an up-and-coming women’s brand that was founded by two sisters, Pippa and Sarah, who grew up in a golfing family. They spent a lot of time around the game, and recognized an opportunity — it’s easy for men to find a classic cotton polo, but quite a challenge for women. Inspired by their father’s classic soft-striped polos, they set out to craft a women’s brand with that same lifestyle appeal.
Both ladies have a background in fashion. They’ve worked for companies like J.Crew, Vineyard Vines, and Draper James where they learned the ins and outs of the retail business. This experience helped them source the buttery-soft Peruvian pima cotton that mimics their dad’s tried and true polos. They have the relaxed, borrowed-from-the-boys appeal, but enough femininity to make you feel cute and confident on or off the course. According to Sarah Renwick, that’s the brand’s main goal — combine the comfort of a t-shirt with the polish of a collared shirt so women will never feel over or underdressed whether they’re on the course or going about their daily lives.
Right now, the brand offers four silhouettes — a short sleeve polo, a sleeveless polo, a 3/4 sleeve polo and a polo dress — in an array of preppy, striped colorways. The items are sharply priced from $75-$125. A skirt and a pair of shorts with same kind of athleisure-y, lifestyle-focused charm are in the works, too.
This brand is really hitting the sweet spot for casual golf-enthusiasts by filling a void we’ve desperately been missing. Scroll down to shop today!
