If you’re looking for the perfect tee to celebrate Jack Nicklaus’ legendary 18th major win and sixth green jacket, look no further than GOLF’s exclusive design: an artistic rendering of the moment Nicklaus sank his incredible final-round birdie putt on the 17th hole at Augusta National in 1986 to take sole possession of the lead.
The moment is etched in history, not only for Jack’s posture and emotion, but also because of Verne Lundqvist’s call: “Maybe … yes, sir!”
The birdie on 17 brought Nicklaus to nine under for the tournament. A par on the 18th sealed a back-nine score of 30, and ultimately, a one-shot victory over Tom Kite and Greg Norman.
