Women’s golf pants can be a tough nut to crack. Creating a universally flattering silhouette that’s also soft, stretchy and functional is pretty much the golf apparel version of the holy grail.
And yet! CALIA, a fitness apparel brand that was originally founded by pop superstar Carrie Underwood, just released a new line of golf-specific apparel. The collection includes pieces that showcase of-the-moment trends, like flutter-sleeve polos, full-pleat skorts, a jumpsuit and cropped windbreakers, but also a great pair of golf pants: The Sculpt 5-Pocket Pants.
So what is it that makes them worth buying? First of all, they have a snug fit, like leggings, but include the aforementioned five pockets. Love! Secondly, they have a super-flattering tapered bottom — almost like a jogger, but you can adjust the opening with a hidden zipper. And finally, belt loops! It’s amazing how many pieces of women’s bottoms don’t include them.
