Welcome to Gimme That, a GOLF.com column where we’ll highlight one notable item we think you might like. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device or anything in between, we want to share these items with you because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or, these days, on our Slack channel). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.
Like many women these days, I basically live in athleisure.
What used to be suitable apparel for exercise only has now become fashion-forward everyday-wear, perfect for school pickups and drop-offs, weekends at the soccer field and jaunts to Target and Starbucks.
But perhaps the most welcome development in recent years is the crossover possibility of golf apparel that doubles as athleisure, and vice versa.
Lululemon has been an athletic-wear staple for women since the Vancouver, B.C.-based brand, which debuted in 1998, exploded on the U.S. athleisure scene. And now, with many courses relaxing their dress codes to allow collarless necklines and racerbacks, Lulu’s apparel fits right in on the course, too.
Golf even has its own category on Lululemon’s website, where you can currently shop 113 items.
My colleague Claire Rogers and I are longtime fans of the brand, and even more so now that we can also shop for course-friendly looks. Check out our top-five picks to create a stylish and multi-functional golf wardrobe this fall below, and click the link to treat yourself to something new.
