Vice Golf, a head-turner in creative brand collaborations, has a new partner: Nicklaus Companies.
The new Vice Pro “Bear” line, inspired by the iconic Golden Bear moniker, includes a number of special-edition products, including Vice Pro Bear golf balls, on-course accessories, headwear by Ahead, a gift set, clothing and even range balls, with all of the design work handled at Vice HQ in Germany.
All of the gear is emblazoned with a logo that combines Vice Golf’s classic crest with a bear motif — a nod to the famous “Golden Bear” insignia established more than 50 years ago — and every case of dozen balls comes with one “golden ball” that represents Nicklaus’ legacy.

Proceeds from Pro Bear sales — the line will become available later this month — will also benefit the Play Yellow campaign led by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
The collaboration was orchestrated by the Sportfive agency, which saw an opportunity to not only create a fun and unique line of products but also give back and contribute to Play Yellow, which has rallied the golf community to help the 10 million kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals every year. The campaign was inspired by the story of Craig Smith, a friend of the Nicklaus family who died from childhood cancer and whose lucky color was yellow.
Play Yellow engages golfers in raising funds for children’s hospitals through events like Family Golf Day, local tournaments, corporate partners and Play Yellow Sundays on the PGA Tour.
