LPGA Spotted on Tour: Palm Springs-inspired Callaway golf bag

Welcome to Week 2 of back-to-back major championships! After the golf draught earlier this year, it feels really good to be off to an exciting start! Last week’s ANA Inspiration was a nail-biter, ending in a three-way playoff after Mirim Lee made a clutch eagle off the wall on 18. Lee went on to win her first major championship after just one playoff hole.

In true major championship fashion, we noticed some cool gear throughout the weekend inspired by the host course’s location — Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Expect to see more of that this week at Winged Foot. Callaway designed a pretty sweet bag and head covers to represent neighboring Palm Springs’ retro and artsy vibe. The bag pays homage to the famous route 111 that runs through the Coachella Valley.

Stars like Maria Fernanda Torres, Carlota Ciganda and Yui Kawamoto sported the bag all week, and Callaway even auctioned one off in their community portal. If you’re plugged in with Callaway, you’ll know they do this sort of thing pretty frequently — if not, definitely join before this week’s U.S. Open!
