The 1986 Masters Tournament was one for the books. Jack Nicklaus got his 6th (!!!) Green Jacket, clinched his 18th major championship title, and, at the time, was the oldest person (46 years old) ever to win a major. But in addition to all that, the moment also created one of the most iconic photos in golf history (…or maybe sports in general?). As Nicklaus’ ball rolled into the cup for birdie on 17, he raised up his putter in anticipation and … bam! The Bear truly had come out of hibernation. The pose will forever be remembered as Jack’s signature celebration.
Our ’86 Nicklaus collection honors that moment, and these hats display an embroidered silhouette of the G.O.A.T himself. Scroll down to get one so you can channel the same energy during your next round.
