Most golfers associate PXG with performance at a high price, but the company is continuing to offer more affordable options for the masses.

Certainly, $650 per iron — such as PXG’s 0311 ST irons — is enough to price some golfers out. With a broader range of consumers in mind, however, PXG released a line of 0211 irons in 2019; they were sold at a more palatable $195 per club. Now, PXG has recharged and reshaped its 0211 irons for 2021 and extended the family of clubs to include drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons.

“It has always been PXG’s mission to develop the world’s finest golf equipment, and the PXG 2021 0211 Collection is no exception,” said PXG founder and CEO Bob Parsons in a press release. “0211’s are an easy choice for players who simply want a sexy set of clubs that deliver unbelievable performance at a price you wouldn’t expect — certainly not from us.”

Despite prices you wouldn’t expect, as Parsons says, the clubs feature technologies seen in its higher-end flagship products. The 0211 irons, for example, are made with the same DualCOR system the company uses in its higher-priced 0311 Gen3 lineup of irons. To ensure performance and feel, the 0211 lineup also includes PXG’s familiar honeycomb TPE driver inserts, thin club faces, and adjustable weighting. Additionally, the PXG 0211 metalwoods introduce a new, railed sole geometry and different head shapes to help average golfers find a balance of faster speeds and greater forgiveness.

Here’s what you need to know about the new lineup.

PXG’s new 0211 drivers are built for golfers who need more speed and forgiveness. The drivers have a new face material called Ti412 that PXG says will generate more of a spring-like effect for faster ball speeds. Also, for more forgiveness, PXG has placed a single weight toward the rear end of the sole of the driver. This design helps move the center of gravity (CG) farther back in the head to achieve higher launch and moment of inertia (MOI).

Available in 9-, 10.5- and 12-degree options, the 0211 drivers will sell for $375 apiece.

PXG 0211 fairway woods and hybrids

With a larger profile and rounded face design, the 0211 fairways are designed to help golfers find greater consistency on shots hit both off the tee and the turf.

Compared to PXG’s 0341 X Gen2 fairway woods, the 0211 fairway woods are made with larger profiles, which helps instill confidence at address. The faces are also designed to help golfers with off-center hits. Due to their more rounded constructions, the faces of the fairways provide greater relief on toe and heel strikes.

PXG’s 0211 hybrids, on the other hand, are made with a squared-face design, which PXG says will help produce faster ball speeds and better accuracy.

The fairways and hybrids are both made with AM355 bodies and HT1770 faces. They also each have weights in the sole placed more toward their faces to promote lower spin and enhance distance. The 0211 lineup offers 3, 5 and 7 woods that are selling for $325 each, while the hybrids (19, 22, 25 and 28 degrees) will sell for $275 each.

PXG 0211 irons

In addition to the DualCOR system that helps enhance speed and feel, the 0211 irons are loaded with designs to help golfers hit it straighter.

PXG’s 0211 irons, which are made from 431 stainless steel (0311 Gen3 irons are forged from 8620 carbon), use progressive offset throughout the set. This means there’s more offset on the longer irons, where most golfers need additional help squaring the face. The shorter irons, conversely, have less offset for greater precision. Also, the top lines of the iron heads are angled to get their CG’s closer to the center of the clubs for more consistency.

The 0211 irons (4-PW, SW, LW) will sell for $195 per head.
