Our take: Like the new drivers, the ST-Z fairway packs more punch than we’ve ever seen in a Mizuno wood, further proving the brand is taking its metalwood design philosophy very seriously. This time, though, the technology is hidden within a throwback shape, appealing to golfers who want a traditional-looking fairway that they can use to hit a variety of shots.

The details: An ultra-lightweight carbon crown lowers the CG for better spin and an improved MOI performance, while the reengineered Wave technology positions more mass in the sole. The net effect is a fairway that’s super stable and produces a low-spin launch for added control. Each head offers an adjustable hosel with 4 degrees of loft and face angle tuning.
