Womens clubs fitting

With so many new releases and great equipment in the market, we offer some suggestions on gear you shouldn't overlook this season.

Ryan Barath/GOLF

With most golfers now getting back into the swing of things (both literally and figuratively), it also means many players are looking for new gear to start the season.

Whether it be trying out a new golf ball, replacing a worn-out sand wedge or finding a club to fill in a gap at the top of your set, we’ve put together a collection of gear you should consider before the season really gets underway.

Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash

The Pro V1x left dash is Titleist’s firmest feeling Pro V1 model and is designed to launch higher but also offer less long-game spin. This combination isn’t only great for high-speed players looking to maximize ball speed but can also be a great option for those looking for extra carry and straighter shots in their long game.

Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash Golf Balls

Pro V1x Left Dash golf balls are designed for players seeking a high flight similar to Pro V1x with dramatically lower full swing spin and firmer feel. PLAYER BENEFITS Pro V1x Left Dash was originally developed for the PGA Tour as a Titleist Customized Performance Option in 2018. This model delivers a different combination of performance characteristics than Pro V1 and Pro V1x and allows players to finetune their Flight, Feel and Spin. Given positive player feedback, we are now making Pro V1x Left Dash available to golfers via special order.  Extraordinary distance with consistent flight Lower full swing spin than Pro V1x Slightly lower flight than Pro V1x Firmer feel than Pro V1x Drop-and-Stop short game control

Mizuno ST-G Fairway wood

Although the Mizuno ST-G titanium is a more compact fairway wood, it was a top tester for golfers who tend to miss off the toe in our 2024 ClubTest, and that has a lot to do with its technology-packed multi-material construction. So if you tend to miss toward the toe and are looking for a new fairway wood option, be sure to check this one out.

Cleveland CBX4

So you want a wedge that offers a classic look from address, but you also want a little extra forgiveness for your short game — look no further than the CBX4. The CBX4 offers all the same technology as Cleveland’s more tour-focused RTX 6 ZipCore, but with a cavity-back design to offer more forgiveness and consistent spin around the face.

Cleveland CBX 4 Zipcore Custom Wedge

New CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges bring premium versatility and elite forgiveness together in a highly refined, sharplooking design that blends perfectly in the bag with modern cavity back or hollow sets. HYDRAZIP Cleveland’s proprietary dynamic blast and laser-milled line system creates roughness to enhance friction on the face—maximizing spin in wet or dry conditions, and from anywhere around the green—while also reducing glare at address. ZIPCORE Set in the heart of CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges, this lightweight and low-density core technology works in concert with the cavity back design—reducing vibrations while also shifting weight and boosting MOI for increased feel, control, consistency, and forgiveness over last generation.

Ping G430 Max 10K

If you’re struggling off the tee and need some help finding more fairways, the Ping G430 Max 10K is a must-try driver. With a slightly shallower profile and multi-material construction, it combines the technology of the popular and lower-spinning G430 LST with higher MOI to make it Ping’s most forgiving and stable driver ever.

PING G430 Max 10K Custom Driver

The G430 MAX 10K is PING’s straightest and highest MOI driver to date, eclipsing the 10,000 g-cm2 combined moment of inertia threshold first surpassed by the G400 MAX five years earlier. FIXED BACK WEIGHT The fixed back weight allows for the record-setting MOI as it drives mass down and back to increase forgiveness and optimize the center of gravity position. LARGER HEAD PROFILE PING’s biggest head profile to date maximizes the USGA-allowable heel-toe and front-back dimensions while staying within the 460cc volume limit. This eye-pleasing shape helps square the golfer to the target and inspires the confidence to hit longer, straighter tee shots.

Odyssey Ai-One

The Odyssey Ai-One putters combine classic Odyssey putter shapes with a premium finish. The faces were designed with the help of A.I. to normalize ball speeds across the face for better distance control. Ai-One putters have won multiple times on the PGA Tour in 2024, and although you might not be a tour player, we can all use a little extra help draining a few more putts.

Cleveland Halo XL Hy-Wood

The Halo XL Hy-Wood is designed with a head size, shape and shaft length to fit directly between a traditional fairway wood and a hybrid.

This design helps to better maintain proper gapping in the top end of the bag while also being easier to hit thanks to the shorter shaft. A standout for a lot of players could be the 4+, which is intended to fit between a 5-wood and a golfer’s longest iron. Player testing has shown that to be one of the most difficult gaps in the bag for golfers.
