When it comes to Charlie Woods’ TaylorMade equipment setup, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. As the 11-year-old prepares to tee it up alongside his dad at the PNC Championship, it shouldn’t come as a shock to see the duo sporting all-TaylorMade club setups, including identical SIM drivers and MG2 wedges.
The younger Woods is even carrying on the tradition of using a Ping PP58 grip on his Spider X mallet putter and protecting his driver with a “Frank” headcover.
If there’s one club that stands out in his setup, it would be a set of P7MC irons. Charlie looks to have an incredibly sound swing for a junior golfer, but it’s still difficult to comprehend that he’s already using a set of better-player irons currently employed by major champion Collin Morikawa and Tour winner Matthew Wolff.
We don’t have a complete list of clubs and specs for Charlie’s setup — check back often as this story is updated — but here’s what we know he’s carrying at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes.
