Course Overview
Sydney’s magnificent Harbour Bridge and Opera House speak to a city of impossible beauty and the course at La Perouse is its crowning golf offering. The middle of each nine features holes along the rugged shoreline. The two most famous holes are the par-5 5th, with its long, downward sloping fairway toward the Pacific, and the 195-yard 6th that plays over an inlet of Cape Banks, but the stretch from 13 to 16 is as exhilarating a run of par-4s as can be found in the Southern Hemisphere. 3 things to know
-
Hole everyone talks about
No. 6, par-3, 202 yards: With the tee set on the tip of a peninsula and surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, take in the view before attempting to conquer this one-shotter. Your tee shot must carry the cove to a green guarded by two small bunkers. -
Best non-golf amenity
The course’s surrounds. The setting of New South Wales — within the La Perouse National Park area — is unlike any other in golf. -
Insider tip
Practice ranges outside of the United States are uncommon, but the spread at New South Wales will put most stateside facilities to shame.
