HIGHLIGHTS

EXTREME SPIN
Callaway’s Jaws Raw is the newest extension to the popular wedge line that offers some of the most aggressive grooves in golf for extreme short-game spin and control — and more “hop and stop” performance.
GROOVE TO THE LIMIT
Callaway removed the plating from the face and toe areas, which maintained the sharpest groove radius allowed by USGA rules. The shaping and grinds have also been enhanced for more versatility and forgiveness.
FULL TOE
Boasting the same unplated face as the Jaws Raw, the new Full Toe version features a refined toe peak with grooves extending across the entire face for additional spin on shots impacting the toe area.

ClubTest Proving Ground: The special sauce behind Callaway’s Jaws Raw wedge
By: Jonathan Wall

In manufacturing the JAWS Raw ($179.99; 4 grinds, lofts from 48 to 60 degrees, two finishes; callawaygolf.com), Callaway removed the plating from the face and toe areas, which maintained the sharpest groove radius allowed by USGA rules. The shaping and grinds have also been enhanced for more versatility and forgiveness.

Boasting the same unplated face as the Jaws Raw, the new Full Toe version features a refined toe peak with grooves extending across the entire face for additional spin control on flop shots impacting the toe area. The higher toe also raises the center of gravity (CG), creating a lower, controlled trajectory on full and half shots.

While the toe shaping and groove package is new on Jaws Raw Full Toe, the overall groove design remains the same. An aggressive 37-degree wall angle on the Jaws groove works in unison with angled, micro-positive grooves between the main groove, called “offset groove-in-groove technology,” to enhance spin on partial shots around the green, even when the face is laid open for a flop shot.
